Strategic relationships

Meet some of the organisations we have worked with on bespoke projects, providing advice and practical support for them to gain greater insights from evidence and become more effective. If you’re interested in working with us in this way please get in touch

We presented to the staff of AESOP on evidence use and provided resources for a training workshop.
  • Centre for Homelessness Impact

We have provided Centre for Homelessness Impact advice on setting up as a What Works Centre.

In its short life the Alliance has become a vital part of the evidence infrastructure in our country. Without their work we would have found it much harder in our early days to know how best to focus our time, energy, and resources. As the movement for evidence-based policy continues to grow and expand to new policy fields they are in a unique position to help amplify our collective impact.

  • Money Advice Service

We gave advice to the Money Advice Service on standards of evidence and on what we’ve learnt from our involvement with other evidence centres. We also delivered Evidence Masterclasses for Money Advice Service.

  • One Million Mentors

We advised One Million Mentors on their evaluation plan, helping them to design a framework and appoint an external evaluator. We also conducted a rapid evidence assessment on youth mentoring.

  • Volunteer Now

We reviewed Volunteer Now‘s new strategy and provided feedback and support on how to evidence their impact.

  • Wales Council for Voluntary Action

We worked with WCVA to design and distribute a survey which can be amended for use with a range of organisations. We also delivered an internal session for staff, and an external webinar for members of WCVA.

WCVA wants to make better use of evidence in all our work, and we want to support our members across the voluntary sector in Wales to do the same. The strategic relationship with the Alliance for USeful Evidence has been essential to helping us do this. They have provided advice and resources that have inspired people to really engage in a topic that previously seemed dry and distant. We hope the partnership can grow in the future.
