The Evidence Masterclass is an opportunity for professionals, practitioners and senior leaders from the public and third sectors to develop confidence in their use of research evidence. While numerous specialist courses on evidence exist for analysts, researchers and evaluators, there is little provision for professional learning around the use of evidence for senior decision-makers in social policy who are not research specialists. The Masterclass responds to this gap.
About the approach:
The Masterclass draws on the evidence for what we know supports effective professional learning and behaviour change. The Masterclass puts you into the thick of real decision-making and the challenge of using evidence, and supports you to reflect, learn and develop your competency by problem-solving with your peers. The content is adapted to the context of the target group drawing on examples of the use of evidence for disability rights and co-production models for example.
Who is this for?
The Evidence Masterclass is not aimed at specialists in evidence use but those working in social policy and practice who need evidence to help their day-to-day work. The content will be delivered by a subject matter expert with extensive experience in using evidence in policy development.
