Georgia is the Coordinator for the new What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care (WWCCSC). Georgia’s role is to support and coordinate the consortium in setting up the WWCCSC, coordinate the team activities around mobilisation, and manage the set up and early life activities of the centre.
Prior to Nesta, Georgia worked at a startup charity, Children Heard and Seen, supporting children who have a parent in prison. Growing up with an imprisoned parent can lead to many negative outcomes for these children; Children Heard and Seen provides direct interventions to mitigate these outcomes. Georgia worked with the charity for three years, and with the founder supported it to grow from inception to benefiting over 400 children.
Georgia is now a trustee of the charity and continues to support its growth and development to ensure more children are supported.
Georgia has enjoyed many years of competitive rowing throughout school and university and now enjoys open water swimming, especially in the summer!
