Greg Wilkinson is the Managing Director of Traversum Limited and an Associate of the Alliance. He has been a Senior Executive in an S&P 500 corporation (Accenture), a Partner in a Big Four consultancy practice (EY), the interim CEO of a charitable foundation (the Centre for Ageing Better), a senior civil servant in the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury, an associate director of the Audit Commission, and an official and elected Councillor in local government. He has over 20 years’ experience of consulting to clients across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Greg has rich experience of the What Works network. After undertaking early-stage scoping work (including a review of the existing organisational landscape) for the Department for Education on options for the creation of a What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care, he served as programme director for the Nesta-led consortium that incubated the new Centre – and, as part of this work, produced the business case for the WWC’s post-incubation funding. He also worked with the board of the Centre for Ageing Better What Works Centre to develop its founding strategy and business plan, secure a £50m endowment from the Big Lottery Fund and then launch the organisation (including serving as its interim CEO).
