What works at the local level?
Thursday 13th of September 2012 Nesta, London 1:00pm - 3:00pm
This lively event, attended by senior leaders in local government, focused on issues such as; what sort of evidence do local authorities need to make changes at the local level? What sort of evidence do we need to take forward the right innovations? And how best can evidence be delivered and disseminated to those who need it both locally and nationally?
The Alliance followed up with a joint session at the annual conference of SOLACE, the umbrella body for leaders of local authorities. SOLACE produced a 'call to action' that included a commitment for chief executives to promote a culture that values evidence.
- Martin Reeves Chief Executive Coventry City Council and SOLACE Senior Vice Presidentt
- Catherine Staite Director, INLOGOV
- Jenny Didben Head of the Government Social Research Unit
- Stephen Aldridge Director for Analysis and Innovation, Department for Communities and Local Government
